hi there, I'm DAHNYA.
I like stories, so let me tell you mine...
Born in Singapore and raised in Malaysia, I grew up constantly around a mix of different backgrounds and cultures which has cultivated my curiosity in people.
When I was exploring Theatre in the International Baccalaureate, I fell in love with Set Designer Setsu Asakuma, and her ability to transform stages into different realms and imaginative spaces in a male-driven sector. She heavily inspired me in my fondness of the power of Architectural expression and its power on story.
I define myself as an aspiring social architect, interested in how Architecture responds to the needs of the people and community. In other words, I am interested in curating spaces for people and serving them in a more profound way - with emotion at the forefront. It is after all people that bring meaning to spaces.
Many of my projects and interests lies within the topics of public realm, urban design, and cultural projects.
